Microsoft Commits $100 Million to Support Ukraine’s Digital Infrastructure

Microsoft extends its cloud services to Ukrainian government institutions, reinforcing the nation’s digital resilience amid ongoing challenges.

Microsoft has announced an additional $100 million in funding to support Ukraine’s digital infrastructure, ensuring that educational institutions, government agencies, and regional authorities continue to access its cloud services free of charge through the end of 2025. This initiative aims to bolster Ukraine’s digital resilience and enhance the protection of state institutions against cyber threats.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine emphasized the importance of this collaboration, highlighting Microsoft’s pivotal role in the country’s digital transformation and cyber defense efforts. The announcement was made on the Ministry’s official channel.

Past Contributions and Continued Commitment

Since the onset of the full-scale conflict, Microsoft has been a steadfast supporter of Ukraine. In 2023, the tech giant provided over $500 million in technological aid, followed by $100 million in 2024. This latest commitment matches the previous year’s support, underscoring Microsoft’s dedication to Ukraine’s stability and growth.

The company has played a crucial role in relocating Ukraine’s digital infrastructure to secure data centers across Europe. It has also contributed to initiatives in cybersecurity, investigations into war crimes, and funding for humanitarian organizations.
