Jailed rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is expected to face more than 10 new civil lawsuits in the coming days, according to a lawyer representing dozens of accusers. Another lawsuit has been filed in New York on behalf of an unnamed man who claims he was assaulted by the music mogul in 2015, reported by BBC.

The lawsuit alleges that the accuser, a 23-year-old man, performed at an event Combs attended and then got high on drugs at an afterparty and was attacked by Combs. Combs’ lawyers have denied the charges against him, which include drugging, assaulting and raping people. He also faces federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty.

Diddy and Jay Z

Mr. Busby, who lives in Texas, has played a key role in numerous lawsuits against Combs over the past year, including one in which Jay Z was also named as a defendant. Jay Z has denied the allegations and asked the court to dismiss the case. Mr. Busby said he plans to file more than 10 lawsuits in the next seven to 10 days as the March 1 deadline approaches in New York. That is the last day of a law that allows victims of past sexual assault to file civil lawsuits despite the statute of limitations.

The new lawsuit dates back to 2015, when the plaintiff was given the opportunity to perform at a Los Angeles-area nightclub where Combs was attending. An employee of Combs told the plaintiff that the rapper had heard of his talent and would be watching. He was told that if he performed well, Combs might be interested in discussing a deal with Bad Boy Records, the successful record label the rapper founded in 1993.

New lawsuit against Diddy

After the plaintiff performed, he was invited to an afterparty where the VIP section contained “countless bottles of Combs’ vodka, as well as illegal substances.” An associate of the music mogul handed the plaintiff a drink, saying it was from Combs. After drinking it, the plaintiff quickly became dizzy and realized he had been drugged, the lawsuit says. He then lost consciousness.

The lawsuit alleges that as he walked in and out, he observed Combs and his entourage allegedly engaging in “group sex acts” with patrons who appeared “either high, unconscious, or as if they were paid escorts.”

He said he woke up to Combs’ assault, the lawsuit says. When he tried to leave, Combs’ security guards intervened and the rapper threatened to ruin his career, the lawsuit alleges.

Combs is currently facing more than 30 civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault and misconduct. He is currently in a New York prison awaiting federal criminal trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges.
