In February this year, the Ukrainian esports community gained a new leader. Maksym Krippa, a well-known investor and entrepreneur, became president of the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF). In an interview for Forbes Ukraine’s BrandVoice project, he spoke about his ambitious plan for the development of the industry, emphasizing that esports is not just entertainment, but an important economic industry with great potential.

Krippa believes that Ukrainian esports is on the verge of significant changes. Investor interest is growing, infrastructure is developing, and the professional community is becoming stronger. It is important that the industry is actively integrating into the country’s economy, forming a new cluster.

Among the main areas on which Krippa’s strategy focuses are supporting young talent, updating the tournament system, and launching educational initiatives. He also noted that in order to achieve global success, Ukrainian teams need a comprehensive ecosystem that includes academies for training players and arenas for international competitions.

A separate focus is on creating infrastructure that will allow international competitions to be held in Ukraine. According to entrepreneur Maksym Krippa, this will not only improve conditions for professional teams, but also open up new opportunities for young people interested in games and technology.

He is confident that esports in Ukraine has the potential to become not only a leisure activity but also a source of new jobs, educational initiatives, and technical development. This is not about a sudden leap forward but a gradual, purposeful transformation of the industry.

Investor on the future of esports: how to build an industry without limits

Maksym Krippa, head of the Ukrainian Esports Federation (UESF), has set himself an ambitious goal. He wants this organization to become not just a formal bureaucratic body, but a real, dynamic platform that will serve the interests of all members of the esports community — from players to coaches and tournament organizers. Krippa believes that the key to development is the creation of a transparent, stable system with clearly defined rules, where regular competitions will become the basis for improving the industry.

He pays particular attention to the development of young people. According to him, esports should become an integral part of education in Ukraine. However, this is not limited to school or student leagues. He proposes the introduction of specialized courses, training, and educational projects that will make esports accessible to anyone who wants to realize their potential in this field.

The entrepreneur’s immediate plans include significantly strengthening the professional scene. Maksym Krippa recognizes the achievements of Ukrainian esports teams such as NAVI, B8, Monte, and others, which have already become famous not only in Ukraine but also abroad. These teams have demonstrated a high level of skill and have become the pride of the country.

However, Krippa believes that it is time to take a step forward and create a new ecosystem that will allow Ukrainian players and teams to reach even greater heights, competing at a global level. This will require not only the development of existing structures, but also the creation of an innovative, stable platform for future talent.

“We want to build a system where Ukrainian esports players will be as famous and respected as football or basketball stars. And this should become a reality, not just a dream,” says Krippa, describing his vision for the future of esports in Ukraine.
