Real Estate Ventures: Key Acquisitions in Kyiv and Beyond
One of Krippa’s significant investments is the Hotel Ukraina, acquired in 2024. The process was carried out through the Prozorro.Sale platform, where his company, Ola Fine, placed a winning bid of UAH 2.5 billion, plus an additional UAH 500 million for VAT, bringing the total to UAH 3 billion. This acquisition marks Krippa’s growing influence in the real estate sector.
In addition to the Hotel Ukraina, Krippa’s portfolio includes the Parus Business Center, acquired in December 2023. The center, a towering skyscraper in Kyiv, spans 75,000 square meters, with 55,000 square meters designated for commercial use. After receiving approval from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU), Krippa took ownership following months of negotiations with former owner Vadym Stolar.
Perhaps one of his most intriguing acquisitions was the estate in Kozyn, which Krippa bought for UAH 311.11 million in January 2023, 60% above the starting bid of UAH 187.63 million. Krippa plans to develop it into a corporate retreat for NAVI, the Ukrainian esports team, similar to facilities used by football clubs such as Dynamo Kyiv. He also plans to build a SHA Wellness Clinic on the property.
Esports and IT: Strategic Investments in Gaming
Krippa’s journey in esports and IT began in 2018 when he became one of the first major investors in Maincast, a Ukrainian esports broadcasting company. He initially acquired 25%, later increasing his stake. His entry into competitive gaming continued with NAVI, one of the top esports organizations worldwide. In 2022, Krippa became the owner of NAVI, strengthening his position in the industry.
In 2023, Krippa made a pivotal move by acquiring GSC Game World, the Ukrainian developer behind the iconic S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. GSC had faced financial struggles, delaying the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Under Krippa’s leadership, the game was finally released on November 20, 2024, a significant milestone for Ukraine’s gaming industry. Krippa has emphasized that gaming and IT remain top priorities for his future investments.
How Maksym Krippa Achieved His Success
Krippa’s path to success began in the early 2000s, when his work with Kyivstar, a major Ukrainian telecommunications company, helped him build initial capital. In 2007, he shifted to retail and real estate in the Kyiv region, marking the start of his business expansion.
In 2016, Krippa relocated to the UAE, where the stagnant real estate market offered opportunities for savvy investors. Using these conditions, Krippa acquired properties at a fraction of their current value. Today, his real estate portfolio in the UAE spans over 100,000 square meters, including prime land plots just 15 minutes from Dubai Mall.
