The founder of NAVI decided to sell NAVI after he realized the necessity for substantial investment to elevate the club’s status. Maksym Krippa assumed majority ownership in the final quarter of 2018.
The completion of the transaction, however, stretched until the summer of 2022, which the NAVI team attributes to the new owner’s obligation fulfillment, delaying the official public announcement.
Natus Vincere, which translates to “Born to Win” in Latin, achieved a groundbreaking feat in the realm of eSports by being the first team to clinch three major Counter-Strike tournaments in a single year – the World Cyber Games 2010, the Intel Extreme Masters, and the Electronic Sports World Cup.
Additional milestones for the organization include the triumph of the Swedish competitor Sebastian “Ostkaka” Engvall at the 2015 Hearthstone World Championship, and the 2018 victory of their Paladins team at the Paladins World Championship, securing their global championship status in that particular gaming discipline.
